My Commitment to Division 6

My Vision for Division 6
1. Protecting Our Environment
• Advocate for policies that safeguard Lake Wabamun and it's watershed and other local ecosystems.
• Support sustainable development to balance growth with environmental preservation.
2. Supporting Farmers and Rural Communities
• Advocate for programs to help farmers adapt to climate change with tools and knowledge for sustainable practices.
• Push for funding to improve roads, bridges, and broadband internet, supporting agriculture and rural businesses.
3. Improving Infrastructure and Essential Services
• Ensure better road maintenance and timely snow removal for safe year-round access.
• Expand transportation options for seniors and residents with disabilities, improving access to health care and other essential services.
4. Strengthening Community Safety
• Partner with emergency services to improve response times and safety protocols.
• Educate residents on disaster preparedness, including wildfire and flood safety.
5. Engaging Youth and Families
• Develop programs for kids and teens, including arts, sports, and mentorship opportunities.
• Create affordable, family-friendly activities and events to bring the community together.
6. Promoting Economic Growth and Local Jobs
• Boost tourism by showcasing Division 6’s natural beauty and rich history, including Lake Wabamun and Pembina River.

• Led groundbreaking projects, including the Vancouver Island Highway, Alaska Highway, and Key Lake Uranium Mines.
• Innovated robotic survey equipment and developed world-first software solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Managed design/build projects, ensuring transparency, cost-effectiveness, and community-focused outcomes.
• Delivered critical local infrastructure like schools, hospitals, and urban developments across Alberta, including West Edmonton Mall.

About Me Today
I’ve been retired for seven years and live with my wonderful wife and our very spoiled cat at beautiful Lake Wabamun. Behind our home, I run an Art Gallery and Studio where I create and sell my art.
My time is spent volunteering for community initiatives, teaching art and photography, and sponsoring programs that benefit all generations. I believe in the power of creativity and connection, and I’m passionate about making Division 6 an even better place to live, work, and grow.

I’m deeply honored to have recently received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for my work with Indigenous youth. This recognition reflects my commitment to inspiring young people, building their confidence, and fostering opportunities for them to thrive.
